![]() And here is the version of AI for the "good" of the israeli government: AI had allowed the IDF to run a “mass assassination factory” in which the “emphasis is on quantity and not on quality.” ... From the article "The latest Israel-Hamas war has provided an unprecedented opportunity for the IDF to use such tools in a much wider theatre of operations and, in particular, to deploy an AI target-creation platform called “the Gospel”, which has significantly accelerated a lethal production line of targets that officials have compared to a “factory”. " Read this Guardian article "‘The Gospel’: how Israel uses AI to select bombing targets in Gaza". (I don't support the Guardian, it is slightly biased as most mainstream media, but like others they publish sometimes honest accounts of reality) https://amp.theguardian.com/world/2023/dec/01/the-gospel-how-israel-uses-ai-to-select-bombing-targets A terrorist but good representative of the Israeli state’s genocidal policies and actions.12/1/2023
![]() A terrorist but good representative of the Israeli state’s genocidal policies and actions. The following is a translation of his thinking: It is perfectly rational that my government detains arbitrarily, rules your daily lives, harasses you, tortures you, starves you, confiscates your land, tries to expel you, dehumanizes you, puts millions of you in a concentration camp, control how much food and water you can eat and drink, and kill you whenever I like ...and expect you to submit to my will and if not then …it is you who is a Nazi. Read this article : "Israel-Palestine war: Occupied West Bank home to 'two million Nazis' says Smotrich Far-right finance minister is latest senior Israeli to make broad-brush inflammatory statements about Palestinians" https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/israel-palestine-war-occupied-west-bank-two-million-nazis-smotrich Released prisoners from israeli jails - remember that they might be jailed without charges for months and years, in a very "lovely" and democratically chosen and very lawful procedure called: administrative detention- reported being subject to torture, starvation, group rape threats, abuse; yesterday one reported being abused by her nurse; and here is one outcome in the video.
Israeli police are threatening anyone who celebrates their release; oppression can go so far as to try to suppress the joy of freedom, no matter how limited it is. Palestinian freedom is - as it seems- a threat to the state. Remember, israel is a democracy (israeli Historian Ilan Pappe argues it is not, but I will leave that for another post). What I want to point out is that democracy is not the highest value for humanity; the highest value is human life and life in general; when a group of people democratically elect to destroy the lives of others, that is not something I value, or that anyone should in my opinion. If one values life as an ethical principle, It is simply unethical to support israel's system of destruction (both as an occupation and as apartheid). Of course, you don't hear about this in mainstream media in either israel or other democratic and similarly colonial countries. try this video https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7135608624906665984/ An old article from Mar 16, 2019
Endless Trip to Hell: Israel Jails Hundreds of Palestinian Boys a Year. These Are Their Testimonies https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2019-03-16/ty-article-magazine/.premium/israel-jails-hundreds-of-palestinian-boys-a-year/0000017f-e58d-da9b-a1ff-edef57b50000 Israel is reportedly ordering (in a well-known policy of harassment) the families of the women and children it took hostages for years NOT to celebrate their freedom. But celebrations are underway. Reprots are around about israeli police trying to "prevent live coverage of celebrations for released Palestinian prisoners".
One of the main tools of oppression the occupying power - israel - is using against the Palestinian people is the so-called "administrative detention," which is, in fact, a way to jail Palestinians indefinitely without charge or trial. It has increased in the West since Oct 7, and since then, there has been "a spike in reports of abuse and ill-treatment of Palestinian detainees and prisoners." Palestinians will seek their freedom until they are free, as all humans should. The bloodshed and suffering in historic Palestine are the direct result of occupation and apartheid. How can there be peace without justice and respect for human rights for all? Read the article from Vox "Why Israel imprisons so many Palestinians: 150 Palestinian prisoners are being released as part of Israel and Hamas’s recent hostage deal. But thousands more remain behind bars." https://www.vox.com/world-politics/2023/11/22/23972908/palestinian-prisoners-israel-administrative-detention The US officials are not worried about how many people Israel has killed in Gaza nor about devastating human consequences but about “an unintended consequence of the pause: that it would allow journalists broader access to Gaza and the opportunity to further illuminate the devastation there..."
Read here: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7133091644777603072/ ![]() The israeli army has just bombarded Al-Fakhura school in Gaza, where families took refuge, killing what is estimated to be 200 human beings. The same school was bombarded during the 2008-2009 israeli attack, killing 40 people at the time (on January 6, 2009). This is in line with a long tradition in the israeli army. You search for and read UN reports, and here you are a 2006 example from Marwaheen, a village in Lebanon where "people of the village were ordered to flee, obeyed Israeli orders and were then attacked by an Israeli gunship. The refugees took their children and stood them around the truck in which they were traveling so that Israeli pilots would see they were innocents. Then the Israeli helicopter mowed them down at close range," as reporter Robert Fisk reported at the time. The above is part of my latest book as a theologian and activist, "On Palestinian Liberation: a Christian Perspective," 2021 (currently working on an English translation). My publisher (renowned Dar El Adab, Beirut) agreed to provide a free electronic version; if you read Arabic you can find it here (if not, wait for an English translation soon): https://lnkd.in/gZwVqfPg A Kindle edition also exists on Amazon (https://lnkd.in/gdZWuam2) The director of Al Shifa Hospital confirmed on TV that the israeli occupation force (IOF) destroyed the CT and MRI machines. They bombarded civilians and destroyed half of the buildings in Gaza, drove people out of their homes, and then bombed them; they are attacking and destroying hospitals. The intent is to make sure Gaza is unliveable and expel as many as possible of Palestinians out of their land, exactly as the zionist terrorist groups did in 1948.
Yesterday, the media relayed the israeli propaganda that the IOF brought incubators for babies to Al Shifa Hospital! Propagating uncritically such news is an act of complicity. Al Shifa already had incubators; the problem was that the Israeli occupation cut the fuel and, hence, electricity. The existing incubators simply can't work. Colonial israel is starving the Palestinians, and that's OK for colonial powers (Trudeau is giving lip service to human rights; his actions are clear: full support to the genocidal attack on Palestinians) (is it ok for police in Canada or the Canadian army to destroy a building in Toronto and starve its residents because there is a hostile group living there?). The genocidal attack is against international laws, but the IOF -protected by complicit colonial powers, including Canada- is continuing the genocidal project that they started 75 years ago. Before October 7th, Palestinians - including children- were imprisoned every day without trial, their houses were stolen by israelis (if you do not know, educate yourself), their houses were destroyed, their kids killed, their land expropriated, they were humiliated, subjugated, oppressed, controlled. Palestinians have no other option but to resist this genocidal project—no other option. When a power denies a population their fundamental human rights, the answer is one across history: resistance. That's the undeniable human nature that people in power think they can suppress indefinitely with gun power. The result is always one: a bloodshed that benefits people in power; in this case, at least the industrial-military complex and gas/oil companies. Genuinely free people will stand for human rights for all; they don't try to find rationalizations for other groups to be oppressed. In Palestine, one democratic state is the only humane and logical solution to guarantee human rights for all, instead of the current apartheid genocidal policies in place. The Israeli army released a propaganda photo of a soldier helping Bashir Hajji, an elderly Palestinian man, with a walking stick.
Shortly afterward, the 79-year-old was executed, according to the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor https://lnkd.in/ew5e2ekK |
