“Zionism – anchoring our survival to a nation-state built on another people’s dispossession – has not brought us safety. October 7 was a painful reminder that no one can be secure while others live under siege.

The "ceasfire"(i.e. stopping the genocide) in Gaza marks a turning point in the Palestinian struggle. It signifies a major setback for those who sought to expel Palestinians and erase their presence. Despite facing overwhelming military force, the Palestinian people, armed mainly with unwavering faith and resilience (sumoud), have defied expectations and prevented the realization of these destructive goals.

This victory, born from the resistance of everyday people, demonstrates that even in the face of advanced weaponry and seemingly insurmountable odds, the will of a people determined to protect their homeland cannot be broken. Though the cost has been immense, with countless lives lost and homes destroyed, the spirit of resistance endures.

This unwavering spirit offers a powerful testament to the enduring human capacity to challenge injustice and strive for a future free from oppression. The ceasefire (i.e., stopping the genocide) in Gaza is a testament to the power of resistance, a beacon of... HOPE... reminding us that even the most brutal oppressive forces can be challenged and overcome by the collective determination of ordinary people.
