Love of life

Palestinian love of life: Despite genocide, siege, destruction, and unimaginable hardship, the children of Gaza continue to sing with hope... they shall overcome one day.

I run along the edges of flowers,
I throw stones into the river water,

I hide your picture inside my notebook,
A tiny image on a page.
You are freedom, growing bigger,
And your homeland is this blue sky.

And the sky is vast and far away,
Its only borders are a bird’s wings.
