"من جبل لبنان إلى مرافئ إفريقيا وأميركا الجنوبيَّة، تتشابك مصائر أربعة أجيالٍ في رحلةٍ ملحميَّةٍ تمتدُّ مائة عام، في نهاية القرن التاسع عشر. هي قصَّة الخوريّ متري وابنه حليم، وحكاية حنَّة التي صادقت العصافير لتهزم الموت، ومريم التي عبرت المحيطات بحثًا عن خلاص وليدها وديع.
عائلات غادرت قراها سعيًا وراء «البحبوحة» في عالمٍ يتغيَّر بعنف بعد انهيار الحرير والمجاعة الكبرى وصراعات الهويَّة والهجرة، فيما تبقى القرى الأولى تسكن البشر كجرحٍ لا يندمل."

Among the hungry... My first novel will be published this July by the prestigious Dar Al-Adab publishing house, Beirut (in Arabic).
“From Mount Lebanon to the ports of Africa and South America, the destinies of four generations intertwine in an epic journey spanning a century at the end of the nineteenth century. It is the story of Father Mitri and his son Halim, the tale of Hannah who befriended birds to defeat death, and of Maryam, who crossed oceans seeking to save her son Wadih.
Families left their villages in search of prosperity amid the violent transformations brought by the collapse of the silk industry, the Great Famine, and the struggles over identity and migration, while the villages they left behind continued to haunt them like an unhealed wound.”
